Third Horizon Earth is seeking global fellows to work virtually to help it define and launch its community engagement strategy. Building on a growing global movement 3HE is dedicated to finding and sharing the global innovations of pioneers creating synergistic human and environmental systems.
Third Horizon Earth (3HE) is a Swiss association, dedicated to engaging business, governance, finance, and civil society pioneers in advancing global innovation on synergistic and mutually enriching human and natural systems. This emerging field encompasses brought about by new practices and technology as well as by the reintroduction of traditional knowledge and wisdom in new ways. Responding to the urgency of a global climate crisis and the opportunities brought about by new economic and social models, Third Horizon Earth is a nonpartisan actor devoted to empowering the growing group of pioneers pursuing a better world of human and natural harmony.
Fellows in the 3HE Media Lab will help to define and test 3HE’s engagement work. Fellows will research and write nonpartisan, evidence-based innovation stories while exploring different avenues to engage current and potential audience members.
Lab fellows, will be able to participate in creating meaningful content in an emerging field.
- They will interact with leading ideas and practitioners in the field.
- They will learn how to communicate from a nonpartisan perspective, while using their engagement skills and passion in creating meaningful content and engagement strategies.
- They will be part of a team developing the initial products and services of a new organization dedicated to the successor movement to sustainable development.
What you will need.
- Passion for helping the world take the next step beyond sustainable development with a commitment and interesting producing evidence-based, nonpartisan reporting and media.
- The ability and skills to write stories in English sourced globally. If you are based in a non-Anglophone region we're interested in emerging activities in your area. While our initial language will be English, we are aiming for original language reports eventually.
- A professional or academic grounding in sustainable development and successor concepts such as circular economy, blue economy and others.
- Web and multimedia skills for production and dissemination of stories.
This position is voluntary and is ideal for those such as graduate students, career transition, or the semi-retired.
