Regenerative Insights Circle Presents the Kumano Shindo Innovation Hub
Kumano Shindo is renovating an akiya (abandoned house) and land in Kumano, Japan, and turning it into a regenerative innovation hub.
In this session, we'll visit a project that gained new life after the directors met in Global Regeneration CoLab's, Regenerative Insights Circle!
Kumano Shindo is renovating an akiya (abandoned house) and land in Kumano, Japan, and turning it into a regenerative innovation hub that is part of the Govt. of Japan's INNO network.
This 100-year-old akiya will be transformed into a "gathering place for innovation and creation," and will play a new role for the local community! Kumano Shindo addresses the challenge of rural abandonment by bringing new energy and international exchange to Kumano, as well as highlighting the unique soul of this region. It brings together advocates for environmental, social and inner regeneration, through innovative and fun educational programs.
Hear about the vision for the project and its most recent developments during the first part of this event, and stick around afterwards for speed-networking with innovators from around the world!
