Building Economies to Save Ecologies
Building Economies to Save Ecologies
Focusing on the sourcing of wild and natural aspects of place-based economic development and conservation, this event should be of interest to those in the regeneration space focusing on these issues.
Certified Wildlife Friendly promotes coexistence between human economies and wildlife in wild places and on agricultural land through a conservation-focused certification initiative. Developed by Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network (WFEN), a US-based not-for-profit conservation organization, the certification program uses the power of markets to create incentives for the protection of biodiversity around the world; local communities are securing premium prices for Certified Wildlife Friendly products as brands seek out ingredients that are Nature Positive.
The presentation from WFEN together with two of its partners, Deborah Vorhies, CEO of FairWild, and Olivier Behra the founder of Elephas Paris(c) and Aroma Forest, will showcase some of the innovative approaches that are contributing to wildlife conservation, sustainable harvesting, and improved community livelihoods.
